Spirit Rider Productions (SRP) was established in 1997 by actor/writer/director Brian Vaughan. Since then the company has been involved in nine shorts and two TV pilots.

Brian himself has written almost 30 shorts and 12 features, and more are on the way. Over the past few years he has also been busy developing feature projects based on novels from overseas and local writers.

In addition, the company is supported by great technical production crew and by special contributing writer Ronald H Bojtschuk, many of whose manuscripts have been transformed into screenplays.

Colin Larsen, the Director of Photography, has a great deal of knowledge of the film industry, in which he is very well-respected.

Andrew Shir, as well as being firmly entrenched with Spirit Rider Productions and developing a project with Brian and Colin, is also planning to set up his own company in the near future. He and Colin will continue to play a big part in SRP.

Brian chose the name Spirit Rider for his company in tribute to the spirituality of the American Indian, and his lifelong passion for the Western genre. His ambition is to direct the ultimate western.
The man behind Spirit Rider  Productions, Brian Vaughan, has acquired a wealth of hands-on practical experience in all artistic and technical aspects of movie and tv production, is a screenwriter and author, and a successful stage, screen and tv actor.

"I don't make films for the masses. I make them for myself. If I can't feel comfortable watching my own films, how can I expect anyone else to feel comfortable?"
